Basic Life Support (BLS) is a certification course for healthcare professionals and first responders that teaches high-quality CPR and essential emergency response skills. Participants learn to quickly recognize life-threatening emergencies, deliver effective chest compressions, provide ventilation, and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of all ages. The course also covers choking relief and team-based response in multi-rescuer scenarios. Upon successful completion of the course and skills testing, certification is typically valid for **2 years**. This BLS training offered through and recognized by the American Heart Association (AHA) with options for **in-person** or **blended learning** (online coursework plus an in-person skills assessment).
